Other Information:Charles enlisted on 27th September 1915. He was 33 years and 2 months old, was a horse driver by trade, and was living at Maple Cottages, New Road, Ascot at the time. He embarked at Southampton on 16th November with the 101st Field Ambulance, then disembarked two days later, entering the war in France on 18th November 1915. He, along with 74371 Alfred Edward Bailey, was killed by a shell at Guillemont. He was the husband of Elsie Sarah Hunt (nee Knapp).
