Other Information:Harry enlisted on 21st February 1915. He was 21 years old; was a Drayman by trade; and was living in Castle Square, Melbourne, Derbyshire at the time. He entered the war in the Balkans on 30th July 1915. On 5th July 1916 he embarked at Alexandria with No 13 Casualty Clearing Station. He then disembarked at Marseilles on the 11th. He transferred for duty with the 1st Field Ambulance on 9th August 1917. On 11th January 1919 he got married at All Souls Parish Church, Radford, Nottingham. He was sent to the Western Division Reception Camp for temporary duty on 18th March 1919, then rejoined the 1st Field Ambulance on 15th May. On 24th May 1919 he was posted to serve with the 141st Field Ambulance. On 2nd June 1919 he rejoined the unit from temporary duty with the Western Division Hostel, Cologne, and proceeded to the Concentration Capt for dispersal and was struck off the strength of the unit. He was transferred to Class Z Reserves on 3rd July 1919. He became the husband of Mary Hutchison, nee Cornley.
