Other Information:

James entered the war on 31st October 1914 on board a hospital ship. He died when serving on H.M.H.S. "Salta" when it struck a mine and sank half a mile north of the Whistle Bouy, Havre, on 10th April 1917. He was the son of Henry John and Bessie Hill of Stuart House, Strand, Dawlish, Devon.
